Ex-rivals now train together and defend the same flag
They’ve crushed themselves against each other three times. Despite the fact Kazushi Sakuraba never accepted completely that, Wanderlei Silva beat him badly every single time they’ve met. It's Past. Now, they are lovely teammates.
It’s a trivial Saturday morning on Curitiba, Brazil. Wanderlei Silva arrives at Chute Boxe headquarters for a no special training session. He pushes the warming up for everybody on the Gym, and, a foreign student at first looking timid, follows the teacher’s moves. That student is Japanes Kazushi Sakuraba, who faces Silva for a roll when BJJ teacher Luis Brito gets the class leadership and starts to separate the pairs to train. "Wand, you and Sakuraba," Brito shouts.
From that time on, the normal morning became a classical one. Although it’s the second time Sakuraba came to Brazil to train at Wanderlei’s powerhouse, they never trained alongside with each other before this Saturday, Nov. 26th. So they do a 20-minutes ground work, and in a friend environment, exchanged many guillotines and leg locks. Everything under the exclusive eyes of GRACIEMAG.com and a few Chute Boxe members.
After that, both athletes hit pads, and, while Silva goes a little further releasing lots of knee kicks and punches, Sakuraba takes a shower and gets the whirl drive of a BMW borrowed from CB master Rudimar Fedrigo. As the car goes away, it seems that he doesn’t know that, in Brazil, people drive at street’s right side."
